Thanks to suggestion ofTuck and arrangement by Elsa, on 7/11/2022 Tuck and Jan, Elsa, Fred Neal, John Russell and Janice and I met with Pam and David Knowles. Pam has a long history supporting Portland schools, including two terms on the board. David is an attorney, also with an extensive civic engagement record. David was a member of the charter review commission, one of three dissenting votes on sending the measure to the ballot.

It was a good meeting, with strong agreement that we will be revisiting charter reform quite a few times between now and election, including a session with proponents of the reform package sent to the ballot.
